VOLUNTEER AT THE CK central KITCHEN

The CK Central Kitchen team prepares over 2,000 meals per week to feed our unhoused communities, as well as low-income families and seniors. Volunteers help meal prep, make sandwiches, wraps and package meals at our central kitchen located on Telegraph and W. Grand.

We also welcome groups of 5-10 volunteers from local businesses, churches and community organizations who work together for 2-3 hours to help us do some of the heavy lifting. We have flexible shifts throughout the week and no training is required. The minimum age requirement to volunteer is 10 years old.

CK Home Chefs bring together family and friends to cook their favorite recipes to help feed our community. Our CK Home Chef volunteers prepare on their on schedule and drop off delicious meals 7 days a week. These meals stock Town Fridges located in food deserts.

Town Fridges are a community-run grassroots effort located in neighborhoods that experience high levels of food insecurity. Community members can take what they need or share what they can. Town Fridges are publicly accessible and open to all community members. Many fridges are emptied within 24 hours. Sign up to learn more on how to get certified.
